A man’s life hung in the balance after his first wife, enraged by his second marriage, attacked him with a razor blade, slashing his throat and leaving him critically injured.
In her desperate state, she attempted to take her own life by cutting her wrists, but both survived and were rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for urgent treatment.

According to the police, the violent altercation occurred in Baloch Colony on Sunday when Rafi’s first wife, Sameera, attacked him with a shaving blade.
After slashing his neck, she attempted suicide by cutting her own neck with the same blade. The police arrived at the scene quickly, transporting both injured parties to the hospital.
While the altercation reportedly stemmed from Rafi’s second marriage, the police are continuing their investigation into the incident. In a separate case, a young woman named Ashina Imran, 18, was tragically killed in New Karachi Sector during a shooting incident.
Authorities initially speculated that a ricochet bullet caused the fatal injury, but further investigation suggests the bullet came from a pistol fired within the house, possibly linked to a domestic dispute. The case remains under investigation, and authorities will register it after the victim’s burial.
