WhatsApp Working on New Feature for Enhanced Calling Experience

The Meta-owned instant messaging platform, WhatsApp, is reportedly developing a feature called “share music audio – video calls” to enhance the audio and video call experience for users. This feature allows users to share music audio during a video call, in addition to the existing screen-sharing option.

According to reports from WABetaInfo, this feature, initially developed for iOS, will also be rolled out for Android users. With the new audio-sharing feature, participants in a video call will collectively listen to video and music audio when someone shares their screen. Any audio played on a device with the screen-sharing option enabled will be shared with others in the call.

This enhancement aims to provide a more interactive communication environment, allowing users not only to share visual content but also audio, thereby enriching the overall user experience. The feature facilitates multimedia collaboration, enabling participants to collectively listen to and discuss video and music audio in real-time during a video call.

WABetaInfo suggests that this feature demonstrates WhatsApp’s commitment to innovation, setting it apart in the competitive landscape of messaging and communication apps. It reflects Meta’s ongoing efforts to enhance its platforms and offer users new and engaging features.
