The truce, which began after delays, aims to secure the release of 33 hostages over 42 days in exchange for 1,900 Palestinians detained in Israel. The agreement has sparked celebrations in Gaza and cautious hope in Israel.
Israel has set up facilities for the released hostages to receive medical care and psychological support, while 600 trucks carrying aid, including fuel, are expected to enter Gaza daily during the ceasefire.
