Israeli Attack on Gaza School Leaves Over 100 Dead

Over 100 Palestinians were killed and many others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a Gaza school that was sheltering displaced individuals, as reported by the official Palestinian news agency on Saturday. The Israeli military stated that the strike targeted a Hamas command center.

According to the Gaza government media office, which is run by Hamas, the airstrikes hit displaced people during Fajr (dawn) prayers, causing a sharp rise in casualties.

The Israeli army’s statement mentioned that its air forces targeted a Hamas command and control center hidden within the Al-Taba’een school, located near a mosque in Daraj Tuffah, an area serving as a shelter for Gaza City residents.

The army emphasized that several measures were taken to minimize civilian harm, including the use of precision munitions, aerial surveillance, and intelligence gathering before the strike.
