Youth in Karachi staged a large rally on Sunday, chanting slogans against the Afghan Taliban. Participants called the militants โnamakharamโ following recent border attacks.
The rally comes after the Afghan Taliban carried out unprovoked strikes along Pakistanโs borders. In response, Pakistan launched a military operation named Ghazab-ul-Haq targeting Taliban positions.
Groups of young people gathered in different areas of Karachi, showing solidarity with Pakistanโs armed forces. Many waved flags, carried banners, and expressed support for the militaryโs efforts to secure the country.
Speaking during the rally, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, praised the participants. He said, โMay Allah always protect Pakistan. Any provocation from Afghanistan will be met with a strong response.โ
Khan added that Pakistan would not hesitate to confront threats and would take decisive action against any enemy. His remarks were met with chants of support from the crowd.
The rally emphasized unity and patriotism, with participants vowing to stand with the armed forces in the face of external threats. Organizers stressed that the public must remain vigilant and support national security measures.
Security officials monitored the rally to ensure it remained peaceful. Authorities confirmed that traffic was temporarily redirected in key areas to accommodate the participants.
The event highlights growing public awareness and engagement with national security issues. Similar rallies were reported in other cities, reflecting widespread concern over border tensions.
Observers noted that the rallies, including this one in Karachi, demonstrate the youthโs active role in expressing support for Pakistanโs military and fostering a sense of national unity.
