TEHRAN – Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Forces, Asim Munir, held a key meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran. The high-level talks focused on regional peace and cooperation.

Earlier, Asim Munir visited the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters. He was received by Lieutenant General Abdollahi. The meeting included talks on security and defense cooperation.

In another engagement, Asim Munir met Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. He is also the head of Iran’s negotiating team. The meeting covered broader regional developments.
Ghalibaf stressed the need for lasting peace in the region. He said Iran seeks a comprehensive and genuine solution to ongoing conflicts. He also expressed concern over actions that undermine trust.
He noted that past efforts for peace have faced challenges. According to him, some parties have not honored their commitments. This has slowed progress toward stability.
