Renowned singer-turned-televangelist Junaid Jamshed is being commemorated on his eighth death anniversary this Saturday, with countless fans paying tribute to his legacy.
Junaid Jamshed, known for iconic songs such as “Aitebar,” “Naraz Ho,” “Tera Karam Maula,” and “Tumhara Aur Mera Naam,” made an enduring impact on both the music industry and the realm of spiritual devotion.

Born on September 3, 1964, in Karachi, Jamshed began his musical career during his student years. He gained nationwide fame in 1987 as a member of Vital Signs, delivering timeless hits like “Dil Dil Pakistan,” which continues to resonate as a patriotic anthem.
At the height of his stardom, Junaid underwent a profound transformation. In 2004, he left the music industry to devote his life to spreading Islamic teachings and performing naats. His spiritual hymns, including the beloved “Dil Badal De,” earned him admiration in his new role as a religious figure.
Tragically, Jamshed lost his life on December 7, 2016, in a plane crash near Havelian while returning from a religious mission.
His son, Babar Junaid, has often shared stories of his father’s deep faith and dedication to inspiring others. In recognition of his contributions, Junaid Jamshed was honored with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the Pakistani government in 2007.
