Online Hajj Registrations Cross 250,000 for Upcoming Pilgrimage

Pakistan’s online Hajj registration campaign is continuing at a steady pace, with the number of registered intending pilgrims crossing 250,000 within just 15 days.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs said the digital registration process has received a strong response from people across the country. Pilgrims can complete their registration through the official Hajj Portal or the Pak Hajj mobile application without visiting government offices.

According to official figures, more than 250,000 people have already completed the online registration process. On a single day alone, 12,880 intending pilgrims submitted their applications from their homes using the online system.

The ministry described the digital registration process as simple and convenient. Officials believe the online platform has made it easier for people to apply for Hajj while reducing paperwork and saving time.

The next stage of the process will involve the online collection of Hajj dues. Authorities have indicated that payments will also be handled digitally, making the entire application process more efficient.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced these digital services as part of its efforts to modernize Hajj management in Pakistan. Officials hope the technology will improve communication and provide better services to pilgrims.

The Hajj Management System, developed by the National IT Board (NITB), plays a key role in the new registration process. The system allows intending pilgrims to receive information and stay connected with the ministry throughout the application process.

According to the available data, 187,000 applicants have registered under the government Hajj scheme. Meanwhile, around 63,000 people have opted for the private Hajj scheme.

The registration figures also show that applicants come from a wide range of educational backgrounds. Among those who have registered are approximately 3,000 PhD holders, 45,000 master’s degree holders, and nearly 60,000 bachelor’s degree holders.

Officials say the strong response reflects growing public confidence in digital government services. Many applicants have appreciated the ability to complete the process from home using their smartphones or computers.

The ministry expects registration numbers to increase further in the coming days as more people complete the online process before future deadlines.

Authorities have advised intending pilgrims to use only the official Hajj Portal and the Pak Hajj mobile application for registration and future updates. Applicants should also keep their information accurate to avoid delays during the next stages.
