Punjab Culture Day Celebrated Today with Festive Events Across the Province

Punjab Culture Day was celebrated enthusiastically across the province, with schools, public spaces, and cultural venues coming to life with traditional festivities, sports events, and vibrant displays reflecting Punjab’s rich heritage. The day fostered a sense of pride and unity, as communities came together to honor and preserve their cultural roots for future generations.

Lahore Commissioner Zaid Bin Maqsood conveyed a message emphasizing the global recognition of Punjab’s culture, noting that such celebrations strengthen the connection between younger generations and their ancestral traditions. He highlighted the turban as a proud symbol of Punjabi culture, representing dignity and openness.

In Multan, schools marked the occasion by having students wear traditional Punjabi attire and set up food stalls, with swings and entertainment activities for children. CEO Education Dr. Safdar explained that the goal was to educate children about their cultural heritage and instill pride in Punjabi traditions.

In Jhang, poet Dr. Mohsin Maghiana celebrated by adorning his home and clinic with traditional Punjabi elements, calling the day a tribute to the elders’ legacy and a reminder for younger generations to remain connected to their cultural identity.

Bahawalnagar saw a grand celebration at Haider Stadium, where Deputy Commissioner Zulfiqar Ahmed Bhawan and District Police Officer Kamran Asghar served as chief guests. The event featured an archery display and various cultural performances, sports competitions, and local tradition stalls, attracting large crowds eager to honor Punjab’s vibrant culture.

In Ali Pur, the Government Girls High School hosted a lively celebration with food stalls, cultural displays, and performances of traditional dances, highlighting the beauty and diversity of Punjabi heritage.
