The provincial government has announced new regulations for animal hide collection across Sindh. These Sindh issues aim to ensure proper monitoring and security during Eidul Adha 2026. Authorities have introduced strict rules to prevent illegal activities and misuse of hide collection campaigns.
According to the official notification, collecting animal hides without prior approval from the commissioner or deputy commissioner is now banned. Only registered charities, religious seminaries, and approved welfare organisations are allowed to collect hides. Any banned group will not be permitted to take part in these activities.
Officials stated that roadside camps for hide collection are not allowed. The use of banners, flags, loudspeakers, and public announcements has also been prohibited. These Sindh issues are part of efforts to control public disorder and ensure transparency in collection activities.
Authorities have warned against forced or illegal hide collection. Strict legal action will be taken against violators under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code. District administrations and law enforcement agencies have been instructed to monitor all activities closely.
The Sindh issues also include security measures for Eidul Adha. Arms licences in Karachi will remain suspended from 10 to 12 Zilhajj. This step has been taken to maintain peace and public safety during the festive period.
Government officials have made it mandatory for groups conducting collective animal sacrifices to obtain proper permits. All permit holders must carry authorization documents during operations. Any hides collected in violation of rules will be confiscated and handed over to approved organizations.
District authorities have been given full powers to inspect hide collection points. Police have been directed to immediately register cases against anyone violating the guidelines. Surveillance across the province will also be increased during the Eid period.
The government further directed strict enforcement of National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) SOPs. These measures are part of broader Sindh issues focused on security management and regulatory control.
Authorities also warned against fake organizations operating under false names. Such groups will face legal action if found involved in misleading hide collection campaigns. The overall goal is to ensure safe, transparent, and well-regulated Eid arrangements across the province.
