PTI to Bring Two Million People to Islamabad on Sept 27, Says KP CM Sohail Afridi

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has announced a major PTI gathering in Islamabad. He said the party will march towards the capital on September 27.

Afridi claimed that two million supporters would participate in the planned gathering. He also reaffirmed PTIโ€™s commitment to the vision of founding chairman Imran Khan.

The chief minister made the remarks during a tree plantation campaign in Spin Khak, Nowshera. He urged local residents to join the September 27 gathering in Islamabad.

Afridi said PTI would continue following Imran Khanโ€™s political vision. He added that government positions and political power were never the partyโ€™s main goal.

According to the chief minister, public welfare remains a key priority. He said the provincial governmentโ€™s initiatives were based on Imran Khanโ€™s ideas.

Afridi also spoke about the role of PTI workers. He said workers joined the party to support constitutional supremacy and the rule of law.

The chief minister made the comments while launching a plantation campaign. He planted a sapling during the ceremony to formally begin the initiative.

Provincial Health Minister Khaliqur Rahman attended the event. Special Assistant on Forests Pir Masoor Ghazi was also present.

Several members of the provincial assembly also participated in the ceremony. The event focused on increasing forest cover across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Afridi said the provincial government initially planned to plant 1.4 million saplings in one day. However, the Forest Department exceeded the target.

The department reportedly planted 1.7 million saplings during the campaign. Afridi praised officials for achieving the higher target.

He said public resources should support projects benefiting future generations. He highlighted tree plantation as an important part of environmental protection.

The chief minister also mentioned economic benefits linked to forests. He said residents of Garhi Chandan earned Rs70 million through forest-related activities.

Afridi referred to recent flash floods and cloudbursts during his address. He directed authorities to expand plantation efforts across the province.

He also instructed the Forest Department to establish tourist huts in forest areas. The move could support tourism while promoting forest conservation.

Afridi further suggested involving foreign visitors in plantation activities. He proposed allowing tourists to plant trees under their own names.

The September 27 gathering remains a major political announcement by the PTI-led provincial leadership. Afridi urged residents to participate in the planned Islamabad event.

PTI has continued highlighting constitutional supremacy and the rule of law. Afridi said these principles remain central to the partyโ€™s political direction.
