Arshad Nadeem Qualifies for World Athletics Finals

Star Pakistani javelin thrower, Arshad Nadeem, has further solidified his status as a dominant figure in athletics by delivering a remarkable performance in Hungary.

Nadeem’s astounding throw of 86.79 meters secured his place in the finals of the ongoing World Athletics Championship and secured his spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

After an initial throw of 70.63 meters, Nadeem quickly rebounded, achieving an impressive 81.53 meters in his second attempt. Surpassing the automatic qualifying mark of 83 meters, he comfortably secured a position among the top 12 contenders.

The highly anticipated finals of the javelin throw in this prestigious event are set to take place on Sunday, August 27, in Hungary.

Having expressed his determination to win a gold medal for Pakistan, Nadeem shared, “I am feeling well and, InshaAllah, will strive for the desired outcome. If I manage to achieve my personal best throw, a gold medal is within reach, InshaAllah.”

Nadeem’s journey back to the field comes after a year-long break due to an extended injury, following his gold medal victory at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
