TikTok, in collaboration with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), hosted the Youth Safety Summit Pakistan on Thursday to raise awareness about online safety and promote digital literacy among the country’s youth. The summit aimed to bring together stakeholders such as government officials, law enforcement, educators, parents, child protection organizations, and industry experts to discuss strategies for protecting Pakistani youth in the digital space.
One of the key highlights of the event was the presentation of the ‘Digital Hifazat’ initiative, a joint effort between TikTok and PTA to improve online safety and digital literacy for young users. PTA also shared its ongoing child protection efforts, focusing on creating a safer online environment for Pakistani children.

During the summit, TikTok discussed its commitment to safeguarding youth with its platform’s safety features like Family Pairing, Community Guidelines, and the Youth Safety Portal. A panel discussion, featuring experts from PTA, UNICEF, CERT, and SAHIL, also took place, focusing on enhancing child online safety in Pakistan.
The summit concluded with the announcement of winners of the #DigitalHifazat Contest, a competition encouraging youth to create videos promoting digital safety. The contest received 11,000 entries, with Bilal Shahzad winning the top prize, and Ch Danish and Muhammad Usama Kiyani securing second and third places. TikTok and PTA also announced the expansion of their collaboration to further enhance digital literacy and safety across the nation.
