ISLAMABAD: The president of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, will arrive in Islamabad tomorrow for his first official visit to Pakistan. The visit highlights both nations’ intent to deepen diplomatic and economic relations.
According to the Foreign Office, President Tokayev accepted the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Officials said the visit marks a significant step in enhancing regional cooperation and bilateral engagement between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
The Kazakh president will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including senior ministers and top government officials. Their presence is expected to support discussions on strategic partnerships, trade, and regional connectivity.
Meetings with Pakistan Leadership
During his stay, President Tokayev is scheduled to meet Pakistan’s top leadership, including President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Officials say these discussions will focus on current bilateral relations and new areas for collaboration.
Address at Pakistan-Kazakhstan Business Forum
President Tokayev will also speak at the Pakistan-Kazakhstan Business Forum, which will bring together investors and business leaders from both countries. The forum aims to promote trade, logistics, private-sector partnerships, and people-to-people ties.
