Ramsha Claims Harassment, Threats And Surveillance Amid Ongoing Dispute

Actress Momina Iqbalโ€™s sister, Ramsha Iqbal, has made serious allegations regarding threats and harassment targeting her family. Speaking to the media, Ramsha claims that unidentified individuals have been sent to both her residence and her sisterโ€™s in-lawsโ€™ home in recent days.

According to Ramsha Iqbal, unknown people arrived outside Momina Iqbalโ€™s in-lawsโ€™ residence a day earlier. She said government-provided security personnel acted quickly after noticing suspicious activity. Due to their response, the unidentified individuals reportedly left the area before any incident occurred.

During her media interaction at the Punjab Bar Council, Ramsha claims that similar incidents took place near her own residence. She alleged that unidentified vehicles appeared outside her home at night and that she and her sister are facing intimidation and pressure.

She further stated that a formal complaint has already been submitted to the Chuhang police station. Ramsha said the family is seeking protection and legal action regarding the alleged threats.

In addition to security concerns, Ramsha Iqbal rejected allegations made against her and her sister. She stated that several false accusations have been circulated and that multiple complaints have been filed against them at different forums. According to her, these complaints are fabricated and intended to damage their reputation.

Meanwhile, a hearing was held before the disciplinary committee of the Punjab Bar Council. The proceedings involved a petition seeking the suspension of the licenses of Ramsha Iqbal and lawyer Saqib Chadhar.

The four-member committee was headed by Chairman Abbas Ali Chadhar. During the hearing, lawyers connected to the case were directed not to discuss the matter with the media. The chairman also questioned legal representatives about professional credentials and requested relevant qualification documents.

Questions were also raised regarding Ramsha Iqbalโ€™s legal practice and her time spent in Australia. Committee members asked whether she had informed the Punjab Bar Council about her employment status while living abroad.

Responding to the concerns, Ramsha claims she was primarily studying in Australia and only worked part-time during her spare hours. She maintained that all allegations against her are incorrect and challenged her critics to provide documentary evidence supporting their claims.

The chairman observed that what began as a dispute between private individuals had evolved into a larger legal and professional conflict. The committee is expected to continue reviewing the matter as proceedings move forward.

Ramsha Iqbal has reiterated that she will continue defending herself and her sister against what she describes as false allegations and harassment.
