KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan declined on Tuesday, following a decrease in international bullion rates. The price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs3,600 per tola in the local market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), gold reached Rs435,436 per tola. The latest decline reflects changes in international market prices.
The price of 10-gram gold also decreased during the trading session. It dropped by Rs3,086 to reach Rs373,316.
The decline came after international gold prices recorded a significant decrease. Global rates fell by $36 per ounce to reach $4,129.
These changes in international prices influenced the local bullion market. Gold rates in Pakistan often move in response to fluctuations in global prices.
Gold Prices Decline After Monday’s Stability
Gold prices in Pakistan remained unchanged on Monday. At that time, the price of 24-karat gold stood at Rs439,036 per tola.
However, the market recorded a notable decline on Tuesday. The latest decrease brought the price down to Rs435,436 per tola.
The difference represents a reduction of Rs3,600 within one trading session. Buyers and investors closely monitor these changes when making decisions about gold purchases.
Local gold prices can fluctuate due to movements in international bullion rates. Exchange rate changes and domestic market conditions can also influence prices.
The latest figures were reported by the APGJSA, which provides gold and silver rates for Pakistan’s jewellery market.
International Gold Prices Also Record a Decline
International gold prices decreased by $36 per ounce on Tuesday. The price reached $4,129 per ounce in the global market.
International market movements play an important role in determining gold prices in Pakistan. A decline in global rates can put downward pressure on local prices.
However, domestic prices may also depend on currency movements and local market factors. Therefore, international price changes do not always translate into identical reductions in Pakistan.
Investors generally follow global bullion rates to understand market trends. Jewellery buyers also monitor local prices before making purchases.
Silver Prices Remain Unchanged in Pakistan
Unlike gold, silver prices remained stable in the local market on Tuesday. The price of silver stood at Rs6,234 per tola.
The unchanged silver rate came despite the decline in gold prices. This showed a difference in price movements between the two precious metals during the session.
Market participants will continue monitoring international bullion prices and local trading conditions. These factors may influence gold and silver rates in upcoming sessions.
For now, gold buyers in Pakistan are facing lower prices compared with Monday’s rates. However, future movements will depend on changing market conditions.
