Eleven Family Members Tragically Die In Flooding Incident In Kohat

In Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at least 11 Family Members, including women and children, were tragically killed when rainwater inundated their house. The incident took place in the Dara Adam Khel area amid ongoing heavy rains across Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Reports indicate that the basement of the house was submerged, leading to the drowning of all 11 Family Members. Rescue teams recovered the bodies and transported them to the hospital. KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi expressed his condolences over the loss.

In related events, lightning strikes in Tharparkar claimed eight lives, and heavy rainfall in Rawalpindi resulted in three fatalities. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a flood alert, warning of potential flash floods and urban flooding due to the monsoon conditions.

The NDMA advised caution, stressing that even minor moving water can be hazardous, and recommended avoiding bridge crossings during floods and seeking safe shelter.
