Gary Kirsten, head coach of the Pakistan cricket team, has submitted a confidential and detailed report explaining the factors behind the team’s disappointing performance in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
The report, sent to Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, is currently under review alongside a previously submitted report by Senior Manager Wahab Riaz. Chairman Naqvi plans to consult with board officials and former cricketers to make informed decisions about the team’s future.

Kirsten’s report identifies several critical areas of concern, including player discipline, attitude, and game awareness. He has also expressed worries about the players’ fitness levels, which he believes contributed to the team’s below-par performance.
Alongside highlighting these issues, Kirsten has proposed recommendations to enhance the team’s performance.
These concerns were initially voiced by Kirsten in his concluding remarks after the World Cup, and he has now formalized them in his report. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to finalize decisions regarding the team’s future once the consultation and review process is concluded.
